As you enter the cryo-chamber, the extreme low temperatures stimulates receptors, prompting the body to draw blood from the extremities to the core to protect the organs. When you exit the chamber blood is pumped vigorously around the body, which in turn enhances the oxygen supply and removal of toxins. The cold also triggers the nervous system to release feel-good endorphins and dopamine plus the body’s natural anti-inflammatory reaction to extreme cold resulting in pain reduction.
The following benefits have been reported and research remains ongoing.
- Reduces general (chronic and acute) pain and inflammation;
- Hastens athletic recovery;
- Improved mobility;
- Reduces arthritic pain;
- Improves sleep and reduces chronic fatigue;
- Helps treat mood disorders including anxiety and depression
No, we use technologically advanced new generation GERMAN medically certified electric chambers. There’s no nitrogen in the chamber, the cold temperatures are reached by patented electric technology, so the client is breathing ambient air without danger of fainting or burning the skin with nitrogen. A face mask is used to protect breathing passages from cold air. A trained operator is always present during the treatment to monitor client’s comfort.
Anyone who is pregnant, has severe, unmanaged hypertension (BP> 180/100), has a cardiac pacemaker, is being treated for cancer, has deep vein thrombosis, acute or recent myocardial infarction, uncontrolled seizures, fever, unstable angina pectoris, Raynaud’s syndrome, cold allergy, acute kidney and urinary tract diseases, open wounds or ulcers, and is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Yes, the chamber is designed as two spacious rooms – pre-chamber and main chamber – that can easily fit up to 3 people.
The treatment is of short duration (generally 3 minutes), the cold air does not contain any moisture, nor is there any air current, so it is very tolerable. Towards the end of the treatment, you may get a pins and needles sensation which disappears immediately after the treatment.
Because of the very low temperatures, all jewelry has to be removed before entering the cryochamber. You are required to wear hand, foot, and face protection, which we provide, plus either cotton underwear or a bathing suit to protect intimate body parts. All other clothing is removed.
No. The treatment is completely dry.
You’ll feel great right away due to the release of endorphins, the body’s natural mood elevator, a lift that will last for several hours. Depending on your physical condition, you may feel immediate relief from joint and muscle pain, improved energy, and increased flexibility that will last for several hours or even days. Changes in skin texture and reduction in cellulite and weight loss will take longer and will require a series of treatments for maximum results.
Although you will feel immediate results after one treatment, research has shown that you will experience improved and cumulative benefits with a minimum of 10 sessions within a two or three week period. (Professional athletes will often have up to two sessions a day to help achieve peak performance). After that you can take fewer treatments spaced further apart to maintain and improve on your results (e.g. once or twice a week).
CRYO BODY CONTOURING:
The first results are generally visible within a week following the first session – sometimes instantly. However, it should be noted that the best results appear from 15 days to 3 weeks after the start of treatment and extend for several months after the end of treatment.
Depending on the individual and depending also on their lifestyle and diet, the results last several months or several years. For Cellulite and Skin Tightening an ongoing monthly maintenance schedule is recommended for the first few treatments.
The CryoContouring fat-freezing procedure actually reduces the number of fat cells in treated areas by about 20% to 25%.
The body naturally flushes the fat cells out through the bloodstream and the lymphatic system in a few days to weeks after treatment, so they won’t migrate to another area of your body. And, unlike what happens with other procedures, there’s no change to fat cells in untreated areas.
Yes. The treatment is completely safe. It is a non-invasive treatment of adipose tissue to induce lipolysis – the breaking down of fat cells. It reduces body fat without damage to other tissues. It consists of a special developed technique of controlled heat and cold used and applied to the client’s skin.The treatment requires no anesthesia, and has no risk of scarring or neuropathy.
The system is technologically advanced all but eliminating human error. The cooling system is controlled by an electronic temperature sensor located in the processing head of the device and the temperature is controlled in real time by the machine and figures displayed on the screen.
Clinical studies have shown that this technology naturally destroys fat cells, but as with most techniques, the results vary from one individual to another. The expected effect is usually rapid: part of the fat cells are destroyed during the session while most will be eliminated within 2 to 3 weeks. It has also been proven to help with micro circulation and a significant increase in collagen due to the thermal shock that is caused by the hot and cold. Research is ongoing.
Anyone with the conditions below should not do this treatment:
- Kidney disease or dialysis
- Pregnant women
- Severe diabetes
- Undergoing chemotherapy
- Inflamed, infected, or swollen areas of skin
Should you have any questions, you should consult your doctor.
There are generally no side effects apart from an increased urination over several days following the treatment.
Two plus a facial. Consisting of one large and one small. This is to not overload the body’s pathways. There is also strong internal cooling of the tissues and the treating of more zones at the same time could cause in extreme cases hypothermia and fatigue.
The treatment is painless, with some clients describing it as rather pleasant. This is due to the massage technique and the session beginning with skin warming transitioning into the instantaneous decrease of temperature.
Cold Sculpting typically costs around twice as much as CryoContouring. CryoContouring is a very affordable, noninvasive and painless process. It requires no anesthesia, has no risk of scarring or neuropathy, and only requires 30 to 60 minutes. CryoContouring incorporates a cycle of heat-cold-heat to facilitate in the body’s pathways to eliminate “waste”. Coolsculpting utilizes a 2 min massage after cold therapy of the target area.
Other methods of fat removal primarily involve a necrotic cell death by damaging fat with heat, high-intensity focused ultrasound or chemical injections. Each of these other approaches pose a potential technical challenge, particularly with respect to targeting the right adipose tissue depth and unintended damage to other structures close or within the fat layer.
Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT) is the application of red and near infrared light to stimulate tissue repair, increase production of cellular energy, reduce inflammation and reduce pain. Imagine how your body reacts with exposure to sunlight – it takes that energy of light and stimulates cellular changes such as Vitamin D and serotonin production. Think also how a plant uses sunlight for photosynthesis to create life for itself. The technology utilizes LEDs that transmit photons directly over diseased or traumatised tissue. These particles of energy are selectively absorbed by the cell membrane and intracellular molecules, resulting in the initiation of a cascade of complex physiological reactions, leading to the restoration of normal cell structure and function. The process is curative and therefore results in the elimination of symptoms, including pain through natural healing and restoration.
PBMT is applied using the TheraLight 360 HD Full Body Light Therapy Pod that delivers optimal power to reduce session times to ten (10) minutes.
That depends on each individual’s “human variables.” Every person’s condition is unique, therefore each person’s reaction to PBMT and recommended treatment course will be unique, as well. However, there are some general rules of thumb that apply to PBMT. Acute injuries and inflammation from muscle strains and sprains, cuts, bruises, burns, etc., typically show very rapid improvement and can resolve in 2-4 treatments. Long-term chronic conditions can take as many as 12 sessions to get significant benefits, then weekly or bi-weekly sessions may be necessary to maintain benefits.
The PBMT does not heat tissue, unlike high intensity lasers. It does however increase circulation so a warming sensation is often experienced. The following outcomes have been reported by clients. These outcomes may not apply to every person, and are not intended to guarantee, promise, represent and/or assure that anyone will achieve the same or similar results:
– temporary euphoric feeling
– increased energy levels
– improved sleep patterns
– improved mood
– improved skin clarity and tone
– improved bowel function
– decreased swelling of extremities
– increased energy
– increased mental clarity
– increased general sense of well-being
Hundreds of research studies have shown PBMT to be safe and effective. The light that is used falls within a safe parameter (660nm and 830-840nm) where it does not have the capability to burn tissue or cause any DNA mutations. PBMT is non-invasive, non-toxic and non-thermal. Unlike other forms of radiation, PBMT is beneficial rather than harmful to tissue.
Unlike most pharmaceutical solutions and other therapeutic options, PBMT is non-toxic, non-invasive and in over one million individual treatments, no significant adverse effects have been noted. In rare cases, you experience exacerbation of symptoms and fatigue following a treatment due to high sensitivity tissue response. You can expect this to be mild and self-limiting to less than 24 hours.
Inflammatory Conditions (e.g., Bursitis, Plantar Fasciitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis)
Soft Tissue and Sports Injuries (e.g., Ligament/tendon/muscle sprains and strains, Knee dysfunction such as Meniscal and ligamentous tears, fractures)
Repetitive Stress Injuries (e.g., Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Rotator Cuff Injuries Epicondylagia)
Back Problems (e.g., Degenerative Osteoarthritis, Spinal Stenosis/Sciatica, Disc Herniation, Myofascitis)
Wounds and dermal ulcers secondary to
– Venous Stasis
Dermatological Conditions (Eczema, Psoriasis, Herpes Zoster- Acute, Burns, Acne)
– General fatigue
– Anxiety and depression
– Temporomandibular Joint dysfunction
There are currently over 400 randomized clinical trials, and 4000 laboratory studies on PBMT, with 30 new research papers published a month. These include collaborations with many universities and hospital research centers on treatment protocol design and reporting of treatment parameters, including Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Public Health, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Brigham and Leiden University Medical Centre, Amsterdam.
Yes, while there has been no reported side effects of PBMT, it is best to err caution in some cases. You shouldn’t use: for treatment directly over the abdomen or lumbar spine during pregnancy; directly over the Thymus gland and; treatment over known malignancies and tumors.
Many other conventional treatments treat only the symptoms or site of pain. In contrast, PBMT targets the root cause, in particular, oxidative stress, which is a key component in many medical conditions and diseases.
