DRIPS

IV Therapy is the most effective way to deliver hydration and micronutrients directly to your body.  Whether it’s from intense physical activity or to boost your immune system – IV drips can help you thrive by supplementing micronutrients which your body may be deficient in.

IV Therapy

IV Therapy is the most effective way to deliver hydration and micronutrients directly to your body.  Whether it’s from intense physical activity or to boost your immune system – IV drips can help you thrive by supplementing micronutrients which your body may be deficient in.  IV Vitamin Therapy is the only delivery method that provides 100% absorption, directly into the bloodstream while bypassing the GI Tract for instant benefits.  One study found that IV-administered concentrations were as much as twenty-five times higher than orally-administered doses.

NAD IV Therapy

NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a crucial amino acid and coenzyme of Niacin (Vitamin B3) that is found in every cell of your body and NAD levels directly bear on aging.  Most of our body’s energy and organ function is supported by mitochondria in cells.  NAD is crucial in helping mitochondria (the power plant of the cells) generate cellular or metabolic energy for the body.  With high levels of NAD, mitochondria convert sufficient glucose to energy to power your cells. Conversely, when NAD levels fall, mitochondria generate significantly less energy, starving your cells of energy.  When this occurs, the cells malfunction causing aging (and all associated symptoms).

FICS NYC’s NAD IV therapy offers a variety of benefits. Studies suggest that NAD may slow the aging process, leading to a healthier and younger-looking you. This coenzyme boosts neurologic function, restores mental clarity, supports brain regeneration and repair, and increases energy metabolism on a cellular level. NAD treatment may also help improve symptoms of anxiety, fatigue, and depression.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C (also called L-ascorbic acid or ascorbate) is a nutrient and powerful antioxidant that humans must get from food or dietary supplements since it cannot be made in the body. Vitamin C is an antioxidant and helps prevent oxidative stress. It helps minimize the free radicals and harmful elements of life.  When taken by intravenous (IV) infusion, vitamin C can reach much higher levels in the blood than when it is taken by mouth.

High-dose Vitamin C is an immune system booster and will help prevent many common diseases like the cold and flu. Vitamin C is utilized by the immune system to make interferon, which the immune system produces to protect healthy cells from viral invasion.  It can also assist in the prevention and treatment of seasonal allergies.  Vitamin C is a complementary therapy in addition to traditional treatments.  Vitamin C has been used in many trials and is constantly being studied as a possible cure to many different diseases including Covid-19.

Vitamin C also works with enzymes to play a key role in making collagen providing healthy, youthful skin and strong bones.

Vitamin B12

Cyanocobalamin, more commonly known as Vitamin B12, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a role in maintaining many different aspects of your health.  It can be added to any IV.  Because this vitamin is water-soluble, your body does not store this vitamin and it must be replenished on a regular basis.

Vitamin B12 is crucial in various metabolic processes in the body, and participates in red blood cell production, functioning of the nervous system, regulating sleep and mood, and even affecting levels of other compounds in the body that help in maintenance of organs such as the brain, heart and eye. Studies have shown that up to 40% of the general public is deficient in Vitamin B12.  Deficiencies may exacerbate several symptoms including red blood cell deficiency, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, memory loss, sleep-mood disorder and issues with peripheral nerves.

Delivered intravenously, Vitamin B12 bypasses the digestive system for immediate effects and provides a lasting energy boost.  The benefits of Vitamin B12 IV includes:

  • Improved creation of healthy red blood cells;
  • More efficient metabolization of food to promote normal energy levels;
  • Better maintenance of the central nervous system;
  • Better mood regulation with decreased feelings of anxiety or depression; and
  • Improved immune health.

Glutathione

  • Your cells contain glutathione, which is a substance made from three amino acids: cysteine, glutamate, and glycine.
  • Glutathione acts as an important antioxidant in your body helping fight disease and injury by binding to free radicals and facilitating their removal from the body preventing damage to cells.
  • It is involved in many processes in the body, including tissue building and repair, making chemicals and proteins needed in the body and for the immune system.
  • Glutathione’s effectiveness is limited when ingested orally because the stomach enzymes dissolve the bonds between the amino acids before it can be effectively absorbed. This is why IV glutathione is the ideal way to increase the amount of this antioxidant in your body.  It can be added to any IV.
  • Glutathione supports your immune health and your energy levels,  and can also improve the strength and appearance of your hair, skin, and nails. By increasing your levels of glutathione, you can increase your overall health and wellness.
  • IV glutathione is ideal for athletes. This method not only binds to and removes free radicals from your body, but rehydrates at the same time. The end result is an improved recovery time, decreased muscle damage, and decreased cellular damage from free radicals so that you can improve your performance quickly.

FAQ

Physiologically we have a digestive system that processes everything that goes into our stomach. When taking vitamins by mouth, our stomach breaks them down and sends them into our small intestines where the vitamins are processed. When the vitamins get ready for delivery our cells tell the digestive system that they have enough vitamins and don’t need any more through a negative feedback mechanism.  The small intestine then takes those excess vitamins and sends them to the kidneys and large intestines to process them as waste.

When the vitamins are given intravenously, they are directly introduced to our blood stream where our cells get nourished through diffusion. This leads to a rapid rises of blood concentrations of the vitamins. Once that happens the cells absorb them and use them for defense, collagen buildup and boosting your overall health (amongst other benefits).

Generally between 60 to 90 minutes depending on individual and dosage.  The number of sessions vary by individual and will be determined during your initial consultation.

NAD plays a role in hundreds of chemical functions throughout your body. This versatile treatment helps promote whole-body wellness and can help your body maintain optimal performance over time.  NAD is well-tolerated meaning there are rarely side effects.

IV NAD is delivered directly into your bloodstream, where it becomes available to your cells for immediate use. Because NAD bypasses the digestive and metabolic systems, you can expect a 100% absorption rate for maximum effect and minimal waste. Oral supplements, on the other hand, must pass through your digestive system, where they are partly metabolized before your body has access to orally given NAD.

Following a NAD IV drip, you can expect to feel more energetic, clearer-headed, and focused. These benefits will only improve over time.  There is no recovery time.

NAD IV treatments are most effective when used over time. You can get treatments several times per month unless you are otherwise advised during your initial consultation.

A Vitamin C IV takes about thirty (30) minutes.

Vitamin C IVs are safe when used for FDA-approved reasons at typical doses and have rare side effects. The most common side effects are minor pain and swelling at the injection site.  Patients with hemochromatosis or a tendency to develop kidney stones should not be treated with high-dose vitamin C.

It is recommended that you get a Vitamin C drip about once every two weeks to maintain a high enough concentration of Vitamin C in your bloodstream for it to take full effect.
